PROMOTIONAL OPPORTUNITIES WITH MAILINGS THROUGH RT

Monthly Mailings to Our Bookstores That Care Network:
Over the years we have developed a network of 500 bookstores that support romantic fiction. We affectionately call them our BOOKSTORES THAT CARE. A BTC is a store that cares about the books they sell. It's owned, operated or managed by people who have a rapport with their romance customers and who go out of their way to service them.

A BTC supports authors'-and publishers'-efforts to promote romance. They will be happy to post your flyers and distribute your bookmarks and other promotional materials. They love knowing about your books in advance and share the information with their customers.

Cost Breakdown to Send Promotional Materials:
Flyers: 500 Flyers (one per Bookstore) $110

Bookmarks: $15 per 1,000 Bookmarks (with a $110 minimum). Bookmarks must be bundled with sturdy rubber bands into 500 packets (one for each Bookstore). Divide the number printed by 500 for quantity per packet. A maximum of 20 bookmarks per packet are allowed.

Posters: 500 Posters (one per Bookstore, must be folded down to under 8 1/2" x 11") $110

Postcards: 500 Postcards (one per Bookstore) $110

Book Covers: 500 Bookcovers to Bookstores (one per Store) $110 (Postcards and Book Covers can also be distributed in quantities at Bookmark rates.)

Flyer/Bookmark Deadlines Schedule:
All flyers, bookmarks, etc. distributed to the Bookstores That Care must be received by the dates listed below.

NOTE: The RT Book Reviews issue your materials are distributed with is dependent on your target of promotion (bookseller or reader).

If distributing bookmarks to readers via the Bookstores That Care, materials should mail with the same issue as your book's publication date.

If distributing flyers to booksellers, materials should mail with the issue two months prior to your books publication date. (For example, for a May publication date, flyers should arrive January 4, in order to mail with the March issue.)

For distribution with the JANUARY 10 Issue the deadline is 10/26/09

For distribution with the FEBRUARY 10 Issue the deadline is 11/30/09

For distribution with the MARCH 10 Issue the deadline is 1/04/10

For distribution with the APRIL 10 Issue the deadline is 2/01/10

For distribution with the MAY 10 Issue the deadline is 3/01/10

For distribution with the JUNE 10 Issue the deadline is 3/29/10

For distribution with the JULY 10 Issue the deadline is 5/03/10

For distribution with the AUGUST 10 Issue the deadline is 5/31/10

For distribution with the SEPTEMBER 10 Issue the deadline is 7/05/10

For distribution with the OCTOBER 10 Issue the deadline is 8/02/10

For distribution with the NOVEMBER 10 Issue the deadline is 8/30/10

For distribution with the DECEMBER 10 Issue the deadline is 9/27/10

Shipping Instructions for Promotional Materials:
  • Please allow 10 days for shipping to ensure delivery before the above deadlines. We recommend UPS because of their efficient tracking system.

  • Enclose payment and a cover letter with your flyers, bookmarks, etc. Cover letter must include quantity of items sent, payment amount and check number, title of book, your publication date, and your name and phone number.

  • We can not accept enclosures that are larger than 8 1/2" x 11".

  • DO NOT SEND PAYMENT UNDER SEPARATE COVER!
