Reluctant heroine Mac again takes readers through the hazards that are now her life. The ominous atmosphere of this tale vividly accents the Byzantine plotline and intriguing dialogue. Ending in what can only be described as a monumental cliffhanger, the newest installment of this supernatural saga will have you panting for the next. Breathtaking!

Summary: While vengeance has driven MacKayla Lane's actions since her sister's murder, the discovery that the human race itself is in peril has forced Mac into dangers she never dreamed possible. The key seems to be the evil and deadly book called the Sinsar Dubh that both Seelie and Unseelie Fae are hunting. Mac's mysterious ally Jericho Barrons also wants the book, but for what purpose? Mac has suspected for some time that Barrons is not entirely human, but what is he? Trusting no one, Mac decides to use whatever resources she can muster, whether they be human cop, lethally attractive Fae prince or fellow sidhe-seer. Halloween is rapidly approaching and all evidence is pointing toward an apocalyptic showdown. (DELACORTE, Sep., 352 pp., $23.00)
