I just read this book on Thursday about an engaged man who can't stop thinking about a choice he and his high school girlfriend made 10 years ago. I still am thinking about the characters even though I returned the book two days ago.
While the book wraps up the story too quickly (IMHO) I recommend the book (and possibly also to teens as a stocking stuffer) if you want to remind them of the consquences of unprotected sex |

Thanks for the recommendation! I just ordered it at my library. _________________ There is one thing worse than a loveless marriage. A marriage in which there is love, but on one side only.

none of the 2 or 3 main characters die but
SPOILER ALERT
abortion is a maJor theme in the novel. It is a story where the characters look back on a choice they made 10 years ago with regret and try to make a situation right that can never really be made right. |

It's actually kind of fitting because I just started leading a Bible study at my church for post abortion women so I am sure I can relate/identify with many of the emotions in the book!! |

"The Last Storyteller" by Diane Noble also deals with abortion. It's powerful, compassionate, wise and intellectually challening. I read it when it came out (2004) and still remember the story. _________________ Vicki w/a Victoria Bylin
