Border's has it 40% off until the 11/9. I know there are a few Gleeks around here so I thought I'd mention this. Inside there's a note that there will be a Volume 2 -- not sure when that one will be out but I'm enjoying Volume 1. I LOVE THIS SHOW!!!!!!!

Hey Linda~ Do the characters on the show really do the actual singing themselves or do they lip-sync? I was never certain who's actually doing all the singing but I love the voices. Curious me. Thanks.

I'm pretty sure it's the actors...?!

Also, BTW, Susan Boyle's album "I Dreamed a Dream" is available on iTunes, too, and doing very well, last I heard. She does have an amazing voice.

They do the singing themselves. Lea Michele, who plays Rachel was on Broadway, as well as the teacher whose name is escaping me right now. I wouldn't be surprised if there were more "voices" added in the songs where there is a large chorus. And I also would be surprised if the songs were pre-recorded with the cast and then they lip-sync to their own voices. I can't imagine doing the dancing and singing at the same time (whew!) Then again, if they performed on Broadway, they would have had to do it.

Ditto Linda. I love this show! I wish there were more television shows like this out there. The characters are really charming. I never had a hot teacher like Will. He can sing and dance. (fanning myself)...could just be hot flashes. Can't wait for the next epoisode.

Thanks Gem. I'm hoping that Cry Me a River is on the CD.

I know I'm missing something here, but I don't want the Glee CD. I'd rather listen to Queen sing Somebody To Love rather than the cast of Glee - imo no comparison. Okay - like I said, I'm guess I'm missing something. Rolling Eyes

I love Queen. That said, I love the song Somebody to Love and can appreciate anyone singing it well. Kind of like listening to someone else besides Bing Crosby sing White Christmas -- he did it best but I still enjoy other renditions. I'm a big fan of Kristin Chenowith and she sings in two songs so that's a big plus for me too.

You're not missing anything lynn4. I know not everyone likes this show. It's quirky but I love quirky.

It sounds like what I'm missing may be the show. I'm not a big tv watcher and the premise of the show didn't capture my interest, so I've never watched it. I guess it sounded a bit like High School Musical which I did like, but wouldn't have watched on a weekly basis. Hmm ...

I picked up the soundtrack on Saturday & have been listening to it in the car on the way to work & on the way home. I enjoy all the songs. The 2nd album will be out on 12/8/09-there was an insert in the CD.
