Hi,

I am surprised at the authors/$ amounts on the list too. I outgrew Stephen King about 10 years ago and many of the others I don't read.

After having worked my way through self help, horror, science fiction and murder mysteries, I now read mostly romance because they always have happy endings and the authors are always optimistic about the human race.

I am also turning into a sexist in my old age. I am very tired of "old white men" always being at the top of everything, including books and the whole romance genre being pooh poohed as silly chick reading. If men had any idea of the amount of graphic sex in current romance books, they would drop their current reading immediately. I have read a lot of incredibly good authors who aren't getting the credit they deserve.

When is that fab going to die out? No offense what so ever to her...I'm sure she's very talented...but I have NEVER understood her appeal?
