Erotic romance is new to me. But I found a new-to-me author by accident on Amazon. Lorelei James writes sizzling hot erotic romances about modern cowboys. Not only are the sex scenes the best I've ever read, but the characters are awesome and the stories are good. I like the little bits of humor here and there, and the fact that they're not suspenseful, because I can't handle suspense. Also, I get good deals on the books, by downloading them to Kindle, but you'd save money on any e-reader. I'm currently reading the books in the Rough Rider series. Gotta love those McKays & Wests. On one hand, I can't wait to read all the books; on the other hand, I don't want to run out of books to read. What a delimma, huh?
I also liked a couple of Emma Holly books.
What are your favorite authors? And can you tell us something about them?
Thanks,
Anisa |

I read and enjoy:
Shayla Black
Rhyannon Byrd
Jasmine Haynes
Gail Faulkner
Lisa Marie Rice
Robin L. Rotham
Shiloh Walker
Sarah McCarty
Lora Leigh
Daisy Dexter Dobbs writes light hearted erotica. I've read Polly's Perilous Adventures and Accidental Foursome.
Cherise Sinclair is another author I've just discovered and I've read all 4 of her books in the last week. Very heavy BDSM.
I'm gonna check out some of the other recommendations. _________________ Your library is your paradise. ~~~Desiderius Erasmus

Sarah McCarty - historical western. there's one that's about werewolves and I liked it too but I love Asa in Promises Linger. the other 2 in the Promises series as well as Hell's Eight do have some violence towards the women that I didn't care for but never by the hero. so far no menages - just the man and woman.
Lisa Marie Rice - I'd describe the sex as 'plain vanilla' ie no handcuffs ropes bondage spanking etc but it's graphic and the men are so hardened/killer types yet melt for the woman they love and protect her with everything they have.
Jory Strong - love the Crime Tells series (only read the first 3) and Calista's Men is my favorite. they have a decent storyline, hot sex, and everything done is consensual and the woman can give as well as take; not overly 'tough' but no wusses either, even the submissive Calista is no pushover and it's obvious she enjoys being submissive plus I could tell the couples all care for each other and the 3 some is permanent and accepted by all 3
Lucy Monroe - she may not quality as 'erotica' but I've found her stuff pretty darned hot esp the 3mercenary books and then the Goddard project that spinned/spun off that trilogy
Lora Leigh - I know she has tons of stuff and some of the stuff is pretty repetitive and someone's gonna do the anal thing and the guys seem pretty rough sometimes but dangit she's dependable..I know if I pick up one of hers I'll get nookie!
Lena Matthews - I read her Joker's Wild trilogy and it was good and all 3 were related yet different tone/theme - the first Call Me was light and playful, three Nights was more serious and the guy had some issues yet the woman was able to deal with it(also has a kid involved), and the 3rd I can't t hink of the title but was good as well. Stripped Bare I think is the title.
Lacey Alexander is a new one for me but sof ar her stuff is HOT and you get lots of consensual stuff like 3 somes 4 somes and even homo yet the main story is a HEA with 1 woman and 1 man.
Lisa's Gift I think is by mackenzie mackade (not sure) but I enjoyed it and it was a tearjerker. has a woman involved in BDSM and you learn along with her.. _________________ Susanna |

My list includes:
Sylvia Day- she writes historical, some contemporaries, SF fiction. I like that she always has really hot scenes, but there's also a story there and a HEA. recommended books: A Passion For Him, The Stranger I Married.
Lora Leigh- she writes contemporaries. Her books are really HOT. recommended books: Loving Lies, Naughti Nights, Wild Card.
Sharon Page- she writes historical, vampire. Like Lora Leigh, her books are very HOT. recommended books: A Gentlemen Seduced(ebook), Sin, Black Silk, Hot Silk.
Leda Swann- this is a husband and wife duo. They write historicals. recommended books:Captive, Sugar and Spice, The Price Of Desire.
Julia Templeton- she writes historicals. recommended books: A Dangerous Game, Dangerous Desires, Sinjin, The Bargain, The Conquest.
These are my fave erotic romance authors and the books I like best by them. Some are not as graphic as others, but the sex scenes are hot. If you want more hardcore, I'd go with Sharon Page or Lora Leigh. Page's vampire books are threesome books. There's two heroes and one heroine HEA. They were too hot for me. I prefer on hero and one heroine. But if you are interested in those, here are the titles: Blood Red, Blood Rose, and Blood Deep.
I hope I gave you some new authors to try out. _________________ il riso rende giovani. l'amore rende belli |

Sarah McCarty - she was my first read
Brenda Williamson
Julia Templeton
Eve Jameson - just discovered her, she doesn't have many out yet, but talk about hot, wow, don't miss her
Sherri L. King
Kimberly Zant - she's into the dominating aspect as well as multiple partners
Jenna Petersen a.k.a Jess Michaels - also newly discovered - she's a very good author - Pen name Jenna is more a 'sweet' erotic romance while Jess is the 'hot' erotic romance. Both are good. |

Shelly Reed--The Fifth Favor
Lisa Marie Rice--any of her books

Beth Kery--she is new to me

I don't think anyone has mentioned Kate Pearce. Probably my favourite erotica writer along with Jess Michaels (AKA Jenna Petersen), Sylvia Day, Sharon Page, Maya Banks, Emma Wildes and Thea Devine.

I don't too much of the erotica anymore. Like Eaglegirl I'm not much into the threesomes and bondage scene but I do love my spicy romance!! My list of erotica includes:
Lisa Marie Rice
Lora Leigh - Breed series
Sarah McCarthy
Jaid Black - love her Viking series!!
Jory Strong
There are a couple of others but their names escape me right at the moment... _________________ Nothing beats a hammock in the shade, a light breeze, books to read and lots of time to enjoy them!! |

Thanks everyone for the recommendations. And a special thanks to those of you who gave me descriptions. This gives me really good place to start. Hopefully, the library has some of these authors/titles.
I've been downloading Lorelei James books because they're such good deals for the money and get such great reviews. Unfortunately some of the other erotica is more pricey, and I'm on a pretty tight budget.
I'm reading Rough, Raw & Ready right now. It's #5 in the Rough Riders series. We saw Trev & Edgard together in Book #1 Long Hard Ride. Their sex scene was so hot. I so wanted Edgard to have his HEA with Trev, but it just didn't happen. I'm just hoping Cassie, Trev and Edgard can have a HEA in this book. It will break my heart if they don't. I do LOVE this series.

I love both her books too! Would love if she wrote some more. I emailed her once, hmm, awhile ago now, and she replied to me and said she was working on something but she's a slow writer.
Others that I like are:
Sarah McCarty - Promises Series, Conception, Mac's Law
Lora Leigh - except for her threesomes and Tempting Seals series which I didn't like. Her Legacy series is the best, followed closely by the breeds.
Beth Kery - except for her threesomes and Subtle series that had her killing off a main character and the heroine getting another HEA, YUK!
Madison Hayes - Her two Gryffin Strain books are THE BEST! Also loved In The Arms of Danger, Miss December and Hyde!
Sherri L King - Horde Wars and Sterling Files and The Jewel.
Robin Schone - The Lady's Tutor, Awaken My Love, The Lover and Gabriel's Woman _________________ I've finally gotten the blog craze! Just my romance books ramblings really..... |

| I love erotic romance novels, all kinds. I didn't see Jaci Burton mentioned by anyone, so I thought I'd add her. Also Nan Ryan, although she is not considered erotica, she does write some very hot steamy sex scenes in the historical genre. Another historical author is Lisa Valdez. Her book Passion was extremely hot. She followed that up with Patience, which I haven't read yet, but it's probably just as hot. She only wrote those two books, so far. If anyone can help me find an author who wrote about a men's sex club, I'd really appreciate it. I should probably post this under the Book Sleuth section, but I'll start here. I know she wrote several novels involving this men's club, and I've read a couple of them, but now I cannot remember her name. I know in one of the books two brothers share the same woman, but she ultimately chooses just one of them. In a later book, the other brother finds someone else. In another novel, two men (not brothers, but best friends) share/love the same woman and they all live on a modern-day ranch setting. It's erotic suspense, because someone's out to kill the woman. I know this one sounds like Colters Woman by Maya Banks, but she's not the author I'm thinking of. The men's club is mentioned in all the books. So if this rings any bells with anyone, I'd love to hear from you. |
