Happy November Everyone!?!?!?!?

I do hope everyone had a good week. And a wonderful Halloween -- we had over 50 trick or treaters this year. I looking for a nice relaxing weekend -- no plans except for grocery shopping.

I read and really enjoyed Bed of Roses by Nora Roberts -- what can I say -- I loved it and I can't wait until Laurel's story comes out next year. I'm raeding Hot As Sin by Bella Andre and so far so good. Next up maybe the newest Elizabeth Hoyt book or Men on Fire an anthology.

Any plans this weekend? But most of all what are you reading.

Have A Good Weekend Everyone

my parents are gonna be here in the mornng and we're gonna be spending all day at the hospital while my dad gets his tests run(about once every 9 weeks we do this and it's an all-day thing) so I have enough books packed up for a week LOL! I just can't decide..

I know I want to finish Tying the Knot by Susan May Warren (book #2 in this series Deep Haven I think it's called) this one is more serious dealing with drugs and gangs and violence/death yet I've been laughing because this woman has a huge fear and dislike of gangs because a druggie almost killed her...and now this 'kid's camp' she's helping with, well she just found out it's for gang members or possible gang members...and she's about to give it to the hero I think. I'm afraid this one wont' be as sweet as the first book though Sad

after this I'm not sure but I"m over halfway through it so I'm sure I'll finish it up tomorrow. I'm debating Wicked by Jill Barnet(would count for the fall challenge) or Texas Princess by Jodi Thomas so I can finish the first 3(read #3 then #1) before reading The Lone Texas #4. also have some more library books and 2 others by Susan May WArren and 2 others in the Boo series by Rene Gutteridge..

I'm aiming for Tying the Knot and maybe Aiken's newest dragon book since I have Mane Squeeze ordered and I wanna catch up...

Not much going on this weekend - laundry and beading, making some bracelets etc. - that's about it!! I got home last night and was excited to find 3 boxes of books from the bookclub!!

So from my new stash of books (like I needed any more on my TBR pile) I plan on reading:

A Highlander Christmas - Janet Chapman
Dark Stranger - Susan Sizemore

Also, if I have time one of the three Brenda Novak books I got. She's a new author to me so hopefully I enjoy them!!

Oh - almost forgot!! There is an all church potluck at a local park after services on Sunday!! That should be fun. It's finally started to cool down around here. Should only be in the mid 70's so a really nice day for a picnic!! Very Happy

I've started Cowboy Christmas by Janette Kenny and Dark Obsession by Frederica Alleyn. No work for me this weekend, so after dropping off some food drive stuff, my plans are to do facebook and read.

Hmmm, I don't have many plans for the weekend. I'm doing my friend's hair: color, highlights and cut. That's it.

I don't have anything new to read, so I'm going through my keeper pile and reading books that I haven't read in a while. I'm starting with Too Wicked To Love by Barbara Dawson Smith. After that, no idea. I have a few hundred to choose from. Wink

I think we are going to go to Carmel on Saturday. Not sure so we shall see.
Other than that a quite weekend.

I am hoping to finish Kylie Brant's Waking The Dead tonight. It has taken me forever to read this series. And I really liked her when she wrote for Harlequin. I got a few arc's last week so it will be either Hannah Howell's If He's Sinful, Deb Stover's The Gift or Susan Lyons Sex Drive. I am kind of leaning towards The Gift, that sounds real good.

And Gypsy, I have said it before the Brenda Novak books are outstanding. When she came to our group she said that in The PErfect LAir, it was based on a real person. Just really good books. Can't wait for her next series next year. They sound real good.

Quite a busy weekend for us. David has to go for a catch-up at a hospital near Margate this afternoon so he is going to drop me and our neighbour off at Westwood Cross Shopping Centre for a mooch around.
Tomorrow is free but on Sunday we are off to S London to see our grandaughter and stay the night. Monday I am meeting a friend I have known since we were both 11 and I'm taking her for her 60th birthday treat to a London hotel for afternoon tea. Should be fun.
Reading wise I have just started What The Duke Desires by Jenna Petersen and that's good so far.
If the latest Lorraine Heath/Edith Layton/Suzanne Enoch books turn up today I shall read one of those next.
I finished The Untamed Bride by Stephanie Laurens during the week and overall I found it unsatisfying. Mainly, IMHO, I didn't understand the reasoning behind the villain(s) motives in the book, and therefore the whole quartet. I would be interested to know what other readers thought about it. Or maybe it's just me. Probably me!
Have a good one, Ladies.
Sheila

I'm in the middle of Shadow Kiss by Richelle Mead. I'm hoping to get through with it soon, as I'll be getting Breaking Dawn by Stephanie Meyer from the library Saturday.

Another busy week at work. Not much fun stuff happened, but now the weekend is here - woo hoo!

Just finished Shiloh Walker's Hunter's Edge and am waiting impatiently to get my copy of Ava Gray's Skin Game (Ann Aguirre). I've heard so many great things about it that I can't wait to get my hands on it.

This weekend is a friends' weekend, and guess what? I'm meeting Danielle for lunch on Tuesday! Can't wait. First time we'll be meeting so I'm pretty excited. Its going to be a lot of fun Smile

I am going to be reading Unexpected Gifts by Holly Jacobs...yes, it is after Halloween and I am diving into Christmas books. There are so many out there if I don't start now, I will never get them done before the big day.

The Man O Steele has a train show, which I love because the more train stuff he buys, the more books I get to buy!

But I will be raking leaves for the duration of Saturday!

Peace, Julie

Debra, let me know how Sex Drive is.

Happy Friday!!!

I just finished Captive of Sin by Anna Campbell. It's dark, but such a beautiful, beautiful story, 5 stars!!! I am now reading Breakfast in Bed by Robin Kaye and have no clue what's after that!

A friend and her man broke up last weekend, so we are having a girls night at her place. I'm going for a massage right now!!! It's so needed.

Have a great weekend, Cindy

I am reading AT LAST COMES LOVE by Mary Balogh. Much , much better then the first two books in the series. "Maggie" and Duncan are a great couple. I love their "sparring." Is that a word? LOL

I have Stephen's story in the hardcover edition. Does anyone know if Con will have a book?

My sister is arriving for a visit from Florida tomorrow and we are driving to North Carolina to see our Dad. He is 95 years young.

Happy reading everyone!

Going to try to slip in some more reading of A Breath of Snow and Ashes by Diana Gabaldon in between my down time from NanoWriMo. I have 11,433 words and counting...

Danielle, I'm so glad you liked Bed of Roses. I'm always afraid if I praise a book too much that it will turn people off or make their expectations too high. I'm looking forward to Laurel's book too -- May is a long time away. Then again, it's November already!

This weekend I'm going to a wedding for the little girl that lives across the street -- her mom is probably my best non-relative friend. This little girl turned 28 (29 in a few weeks). She was born two weeks after my oldest son and we've all been friends ever since. My son took her to his first homecoming because he didn't have a girlfriend. Anyway, that's my plan for Saturday.

Somewhere in there I'm going to finish Some Girls Bite by Chloe Neill which I looooooooooove! I love it so much I put a hold on Friday Night Bites at the library after the first chapter (I can't find it at Borders or I'd buy it).

Have a great weekend everyone!

Hey Stacy and Danielle... have a great time. When Texan in Pa. (lisa) and I met, we had a great time and have been friends ever since then. It has been about 3 or 4 years.

I have to work at the gym tomorrow from 7 to 12 (I only work one Saturday a month) so this won't be too bad. I usually have 10 hours a week, so the extra money from this Saturday will go into my "book buying" money.

Tonight is bowling night for Sharyn and Scott, so I keep the kids overnight. We have a blast, so I always look forward to it.

I am finishing up the Titan Sisters series. Hot On Her Heel by Susan Mallery. I loved all three books and this last one about the sisters best friend Dana is just as good. Will be sad to end it.

I'm going to be writing this weekend. Want to get a bit ahead on NaNaWriMo. So far I'm a ahead of my daily word count so that is good. I also sent off an entry to the Harlequin Presents writing competition this week. And catch up on a bit of school work.

I'm reading Twenties Girl by Sophie Kinsella and really enjoying it so far.

Have a nice weekend.
