TORONTO '99 ROMANTIC TIMES CONVENTION HIGHLIGHTS
|
SCOTTISH HIGHLANDER BALL

The welcome party on Wednesday set the tone as the Red Hackle Pipers
thrilled the audience, as did the dancers who demonstrated their talent and
skill with a dazzling display.

A Scottish descendant, Jim McGoldrick, properly modeled a kilt as Nikoo,
his wife and writing partner, stood by. Friends Mary Stella and Sarah Lynn
prettily posed in their plaid.

Connie Perry held court in her magnificent handmade gown. Connie created
the dress from burnished red velvet and Italian and gold lace. She also
trimmed it with over 1,000 Aurora Borealis stones, painstakingly attached
one at a time!

Everyone got into the Scottish spirit wearing sashes, plaids and costumes,
Ollie Mathis (far left), Nan Deporto (seated), and other "Highland fellow"
admirerers.

By night's end, a D.J. took over the music and a great
time was had by all!

One of the most handsome couples at the Ball was Frank Cabiroy,
author of Romance Recipes For the Soul, and his stunning companion,
Laura Jean O'Neill.
